I breathe, work, eat, learn, love and live in the Republic of East Vancouver, Un-Ceded Coast-Salish Territories, 'Canada'.
I'm beginning to dis-trust nouns, so can't tell you (or myself) honestly 'what' I 'am'.
If anything, I guess I'm just a lad about Town, aka 'Universe'.
I can tell you a few stories; that's better. 'Reality' is more a verb than anything else.
I 'birthed' in Singapore, coagulated in Malaysia (Penang and Kuala Lumpur) then was re-exported (as my ancestral line had been formerly imported to the Nanyang/S.E. Asia) to the Northern Americas. Landing first in 'Vancouver', the Goh clan was shortly re-distributed within a couple of years to 'Cowhead' (Tête-de-Vache), a small outport humbly propped on the tremendous coastline facing the Cabot Straits in Newfoundland.
A few years later, annum 1996, I re-distributed singly to Montréal QC where I eked out an 'education' and 'living' for ten years.
When that residency ended I went with Tessa to my once home-town of Kuala Lumpur for a year.
I came back, we broke up, and life as they say is 'what happens when you're making other plans'.
So what now?
At the moment, I'm listening to Slight Birching, and it (he/they) is excellent. You can listen to and 'get' it here for free.
The most significant activities of my life at present are my family (my mom, my brothers), my friends, the place I live in. The other activities that stream with these relationship are also relationships, so alternately I pre-'occupy' myself with writing, communicating, connecting, in-format-ion-alizing and stuff like that. I also get to do things like play, with sound and images and moving records of things and people as they 'happen'.
I have presentiments of speaking 'truth to power' meanwhile and I'm sorry, that feels didactic. All the same, the feeling grows, and the thoughts, words and actions grow with it.
I would like to 'make' art, make love, make food and make home with others in an atmosphere of expansive awakeness to the practice of peace and freedom, free from the constraints of an authorifying figure/s, false ideations of values, morals and economies, and without needing nor ever wanting to prove anything at all. In short, I think we oughta reject the 'bum' trip in favour of a better trip, a better deal, and a fairer life.
